Our History and Corporate Philosophy

Founded in 1922 by Mr. Samuel Blake, Blake Realty was incorporated in 1954. The first branch office opened in 1964, and by 1970 various specialized divisions served the diversified segments of the local real estate business. In the late 1970s and throughout the. 1980s, the company actively engaged in an extensive merger and acquisition campaign. Seeking to provide the highest level of client service, the company was successful in attracting affiliations with ten (10) other real estate companies servicing diverse areas of northeastern New York State. Through these efforts, Blake attracted some of the top leaders in the industry to its management staff, including a past President of the National Association of Realtors. Our Home Office and our Commercial Division are both headquartered at 8 Airline Dr. in Albany. These are augmented by 9 residential branch offices located throughout the Capital Region.

The Prudential Blake-Atlantic, Realtors is a full service brokerage company specializing in all aspects of the commercial real estate industry. Our firm is the exclusive representative of The Prudential Real Estate Affiliates, Inc. in New York’s Upstate Region, within a nine (9) county territory. In addition to the commitment to our strong local team, our nationwide affiliation with affiliate Prudential Commercial Services companies and clientele assure our customers and clients the utmost exposure of properties and potential purchasers.

Twenty (20) full time real estate associates and support staff provide an extensive range of expertise, capabilities and networking contacts. The Strategic Partners Initiative

Our clientele can now attain a more powerful connection to Prudential business units, adding value to expanding and/or relocating companies. This program was designed to enhance our full range of complete commercial real estate services. Currently the Strategic Partners Initiative includes:

The Prudential Bank & Trust: The Prudential Bank is a Georgia-chartered bank that is wholly owned by Prudential. Prudential Bank has approximately $1.3 billion in assets centered around credit card, commercial real estate mortgages, lines of credit, deposit products and trust services. This unit provides our real estate professionals access to commercial lending services in the range of $750,000 - $3,000,000 anywhere in the continental United States.

Prudential Resources Management: This Prudential unit provides a wide range of relocation and human resources to the global business community. The spectrum of services includes home sales, rental assistance, outsourcing, policy consulting, destination assistance, expense administration, spouse counseling, transportation and global inter-cultural services.

Prudential Securities: This Prudential unit is one of the top three underwriters of real estate securities, and provides fully integrated investment banking services to its clients. The group has 21 professionals servicing Real Estate Investment Trusts (REIT's), Real Estate Operating Companies and other Institutional and Corporate Owners of Real Estate. Through them we can assist in the acquisition and disposition of major portfolios.

Capital Agricultural Property Services: This Prudential unit provides commercial services on timber, crop producing and other agricultural land use. Consisting of Farmland Professionals, Accredited Rural Appraisers and Certified Professional Agronomists, this unit can provide a full range of agricultural property services.

Charitable Foundation Services Division: This division provides expertise to those organizations that have commercial properties donated to them, including corporate and international gifts that charities they may receive. This makes us a leading force that is sensitive to the special requirements surrounding the acquisition and disposition of donated property.

Moran, Stahl & Boyer: Provides corporate relocation deployment strategies addressing the facility decisions for companies of all sizes, moving anywhere in the United States. This service can now be offered to companies researching and selecting a market for corporate relocation. Through this unit we can assist with location solutions that meet the company's short and long-term goals.
